Leah and I are so fortunate to have Sheri Crosier working in our office and assisting us with our cases. We want our friends and clients to know a little bit more about Sheri.

Sheri Crosier

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Kearney, Nebraska. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in December of 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. I like to watch hockey and go to hockey games when I can. My favorite team is the Pittsburgh Penguins. I have been to three Penguins games in the past and hope to make it to a Penguins game in every NHL stadium. I love spending my free time with my friends and family and helping out in my church’s youth group.

How long have you worked for Fye Law Office?
I have worked for Fye Law Office for about seven months now.

What is your work experience/education/training prior to coming to work for Fye Law Office?
Before coming to work for Fye Law Office, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at UNK. While at UNK, I was lucky to be able to intern at Family Advocacy Network in Kearney and see things from a different perspective. I truly believe this internship has helped me in my work at Fye Law Office.

What advice do you have to potential clients who are meeting with an attorney for the first time?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions when you meet with an attorney for a consultation. No matter the type of legal assistance you are needing, it’s likely going to be a bit intimidating for you. That is what your attorney is for, to help answer those questions.

What advice do you have to clients in working more effectively with their attorneys?
Know that your attorney has your best interest in mind. Your attorney is going to do everything they can to get you the best possible outcome in your case.

Do you have any memorable experiences since working at Fye Law Office that you’d like to share?
Overall, just the relationships I have built since working here. I like the fact that it’s a small office and I actually enjoy coming to work. That isn’t something I’ve ever had in past employment options and it’s refreshing to enjoy my job and those around me at work.

What do you like about working in a law office?
I like that no two days are exactly the same. One day can be crazy busy with phone calls, emails, and new clients and consultations. The next might just be getting caught up from the day before. I like not knowing what to expect when I come in to work, it makes things interesting.

What is your favorite type of case or matter to work on? Why?
I think my favorite type of case to work on is juvenile cases. I think all types of cases are interesting, but I have always loved working with kids, and knowing that the goal of juvenile court is to create the healthiest and safest environment for children is what I like best about the juvenile court. I also like how different they all are.

Thanks to Sheri for introducing herself and telling us all a little more about her!
