At Fye Law Office, we’ve been fortunate to have a wonderful law student working with us this summer as a law clerk. In this blog post, we’d like to introduce Austin Haussler!
My name is Austin Haussler. I am from Overton, Nebraska. I love being outdoors playing softball and fishing. I am an avid reader and love a good movie! I completed undergrad at Wayne State College. While at W.S.C. I majored in Criminal Justic and Political Science with a Pre-Law minor. I was a part of the Rural Opportunities Program while there. I was also on the Student Judicial Board at Wayne. I am a rising 2L at the University of Nebraska College of Law. I am a member of Women’s Law Caucus and Phi Alpha Delta. I am excited to be a Teacher’s Assistant for Legal Analysis, Writing and Research next year! Throughout undergrad I worked as a paraprofessional and absolutely adore children! I have recently finished my first clerkship at Parker, Grossart & Bahensky, L.L.P. in Kearney, Nebraska. I am interested in rural practice and am so excited I was able to clerk back home for the summer! I am interested in litigation and would like to practice criminal defense after graduating law school. I am very passionate about criminal justice reform and would love to help mitigate damages caused by an unfair system by preventing injustices through defense work. I am very grateful and excited for the opportunity to work at Fye Law Office for the remainder of the summer!
